As well as running elite horse racing at Caulfield, Ladbrokes Park (Sandown) and Mornington Racecourses, we own 14 pub venues under the Pegasus Leisure Group (PLG), an emerging collection of owned events such as The Peninsula Picnic and the MRC Foundation, our charitable arm.An exciting opportunity exists for a highly motivated and professional Sponsorship Sales Executive to join MRC. Reporting to the Sales Manager, this role will be responsible for acquiring and managing sponsorships for Melbourne Racing Club. The successful candidate will have proven experience in managing stakeholder relationships, strong project management skills, experience in fast-paced, high-volume hospitality/event environment and knowledge of racing industry.The successful candidate must be willing to travel to MRC racecourses (Caulfield and Sandown) as well as work weekends and public holidays as required by the event calendar.What will your responsibilities be?Work closely with the Race Day Sales Manager to implement an annual Sponsorship and Business Development strategy.Prepare and manage annual revenue and expenditure budgets for race sponsorship.Secure new Club partners and sponsors, by focusing on business development, generating leads and presenting tailored sponsorship proposals.Manage all annual sponsorship renewals, identifying growth opportunities and present tailored proposals to secure continued sponsorship of Melbourne Racing Club.Negotiate package benefits to suit both MRC and sponsor needs.Account management of major partners, Club partners and sponsors.Oversee delivery of all sponsor entitlements across Caulfield and Sandown race meetings, including race sponsorship, corporate hospitality, signage, branding and activations.Continue to enhance the Sponsorship offering through rebranding, improved offerings and new assets to keep pace with industry trends and best practices.Attend MRC race days to host existing sponsors and promote MRC.To succeed in this exciting role you will be have:Tertiary qualifications in Business or related discipline.Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a sponsorship or sales role within a fast-paced, high-volume sporting or event environment.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant software applications.Previous Sponsorship or account management experience.Knowledge of racing industry preferred.Ability to deal with internal and external stakeholders at a senior level.What’s in it for you?Ongoing learning & development opportunities through the organisation-wide DRIVE Development program. Access to our year-round well-being initiatives including our Employee Assistance Program for staff and family. Racing Industry Member passes, discounts across our family of brands and free tickets to a wide range of events. Free onsite parking or a short walk from Caulfield Station. Paid Volunteer and Parental Leave. Monthly staff lunches  Melbourne Racing Club values differences in gender, age, ethnicity, race, cultural background, disability, religion and sexual orientation and encourages all suitable applicants to apply for this role.  AUD Caulfield 3162
