Sales Event Coordinator

Are you passionate about driving sales and maximising sales opportunities?We have an exciting opportunity for a Sales Event Coordinator to join the team for a 12 month parental leave contract. Reporting to the Senior Sales Event Manager, the successful candidate will primarily responsible for the coordination of first-class quality race day events and hospitality while selling products that provide value for customers and members.The Melbourne Racing Club (MRC) is one of Australia's most prestigious Sports, Events and Property Development companies. Running elite horse racing at Caulfield, Ladbrokes (Sandown) and Mornington Racecourse. As well as running elite horse racing at Caulfield, Ladbrokes Park (Sandown) and Mornington Racecourses, we own 15 pub venues under the Pegasus Leisure Group (PLG), an emerging collection of owned events such as The Peninsula Picnic and Whiskey, Wine and Fire and finally the MRC Foundation, our charitable arm. What will your responsibilities be? Process and manage race day hospitality bookings; coordinating floorplans and table allocations for restaurants and reserved area bookingsProviding exceptional customer service when handling inbound inquiresCoordinate all client requests in relation to their event; including dietary requirements as requiredAid in retaining race day business to ensure sales targets are exceededPromote race day productsPrepare accurate handover documentation (floorplans, run sheets, dietary requirements, additional client requests) and conduct site walk through with the Food & Beverage department.Conduct post-event customer communication and ensure all feedback is actionedManage new and existing customer relationships in a professional and positive mannerEnsure all written and verbal communications to clients and internal stakeholders is clearWhat skills and experience excite us?We are seeking candidates with a minimum of 2 years of exposure in a sales, customer service or administration role within a fast-paced, high volume environment.
