Sales Coordinator – Racing & Sponsorship

We have a unique opportunity for an enthusiastic full-time Sales Coordinator to join our team at Mornington Racecourse. Focussed on Race Day Sales & Events, and Sponsorship Coordination, this position supports the delivery of 18 race days at Mornington and an annual sponsorship program.With a highly administrative focus, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring exceptional customer service and driving the overall growth of Melbourne Racing Club, enhancing the experience for all stakeholders and patrons.The Melbourne Racing Club (MRC) is proud to be recognised as a 2022 & 2023 Winner of The Australian Business Awards for Employer of Choice. As well as running elite horse racing at Caulfield, Sportsbet Sandown and Mornington Racecourses, we own 14 pub venues under the Pegasus Leisure Group (PLG).What will your responsibilities be?Coordination of race day event requirements on behalf of the client for all functions and restaurant bookings for race days at Mornington Racecourse.Coordination of the annual sponsorship program of racing.Deliver exceptional customer service by professionally managing the enquiry inbox and inbound calls.Take bookings from repeat clients and support the Sales Manager in achieving overall sales requirements.Creation of marketing briefs aligned with the sales strategy for each race day.Liaison with relevant marketing partners, printers, and media organisations to provide final artwork within agreed timelines.Ensure a high level of detail is provided in Floor Plans, Event Orders, Work Orders, and related event documentation.Skills & ExperienceMinimum 2 years’ experience in customer service and event coordination within a fast-paced high-volume environment.Tertiary qualifications or relevant experience in event and/or venue management.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant software applications.Previous client management experience.Strong time management and prioritisation skills.Ability to work under pressure.Personable, approachable, and an effective communicator.High level of accuracy and attention to detail.What’s in it for you?
