Membership Customer Service Assistant

The Melbourne Racing Club (MRC) is one of Australia's most prestigious Sports, Events and Property Development companies. As well as running elite horse racing at Caulfield, Ladbrokes Park (Sandown) and Mornington Racecourses, we own 15 pub venues under the Pegasus Leisure Group (PLG), an emerging collection of owned events such as The Peninsula Picnic and Whiskey, Wine and Fire and finally the MRC Foundation, our charitable arm.An exciting opportunity exists for a Membership Customer Service Assistant to join our Membership team on a full-time basis. Based at the Caulfield Racecourse, this role will act as the first point of contact for all membership queries, renewals, database coordination and provide support to our members across our events and race days. The successful candidate will have demonstrated customer service experience with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.Key duties & responsibilities: Acting as first point of contact for members via inbound phone calls and emailsProcessing new membership/renewal applications and ensuring customer data is entered correctly into membership databaseManagement of the Membership inbox, ensuring a high level of customer service and answering all enquiries in a friendly and accurate mannerAssisting with planning and delivery of Membership Events and providing support to members on race days as requiredIdentifying opportunities to maintain and enhance current services being provided to MRC membersPreparing Race Day Office for events and coordinating ticketing for race days for members, including Spring CarnivalWorking with the Events team to prepare for and deliver Membership EventsAssisting with order fulfillment and stock management for MRC shopAssisting with concierge style service for Chairman’s Club members and building relationships with key membersMaintaining strong relationships with all internal and external stakeholders and ensuring effective lines of communication are provided to support membership experience and customer serviceSkills & ExperienceStrong face-to-face/telephone-based sales and negotiation skillsExperienced in the delivery of high quality customer service and maintaining good working relationships with all stakeholdersStrong written and verbal communication skills with an outstanding attention to detailDemonstrated collaborator with ability to work individually as well as part of a teamEffective time-management skills with the ability to multi-task and work under pressureAbility to work proactively and independently while adhering to strict guidelines and deadlinesWhat we offer:Free onsite parkingRacing Industry Member passes, discounts across our family of brands and free tickets to a wide range of events Paid Volunteer LeaveDiscounted Coffee at GlasshouseFlexible working arrangementsEAP service for staff and family to useThis is a truly unique opportunity that offers the right candidate a chance to make a lasting impact within a growing business and a professional team. Melbourne Racing Club values differences in gender, age, ethnicity, race, cultural background, disability, religion and sexual orientations and encourages all suitable applicants to apply for this role.   AUD Caulfield 3162
