Health & Safety Manager

The Melbourne Racing Club (MRC) is one of Australia's most prestigious Sports, Events and Property Development companies. As well as running elite horse racing at Caulfield, Ladbrokes Park (Sandown) and Mornington Racecourses, we own 14 pub venues under the Pegasus Leisure Group (PLG), an emerging collection of owned events such as The Peninsula Picnic and Whiskey, Wine and Fire and finally the MRC Foundation, our charitable arm.We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Health & Safety Manager to join the team at MRC on a full-time permanent basis. Based at Caulfield Racecourse, this role will be responsible for the planning and implementation of MRC’s overall health and safety (H&S) strategies and initiatives.The successful candidate will be known as a proactive self-starter who enjoys solving problems on the fly, as well as having a forward-thinking approach.  As part of the Risk & Compliance team, you will leverage your technical skills, experience, and knowledge along with your relationship management capability to deliver a range of H&S initiatives and maintain and oversee MRC’s H&S operational activities.The role will involve working event days across weekends and public holidays as required, as well as travel to Mornington, Sandown and PLG venues across metropolitan & regional Melbourne.What will my responsibilities include?
