We are looking for a Permanent Part Time Chef de Partie to join our Retail Team.As a Chef de Partie, you will play a pivotal role, working alongside our Executive Chef and kitchen leadership, who are committed to providing genuine development and career growth opportunities.This position involves overseeing culinary operations relating to the food offering within the racecourse outlets.The Melbourne Racing Club (MRC) is proud to be recognised as a 2022 & 2023 Winner of The Australian Business Awards for Employer of Choice. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work across our three racecourses: Caulfield Racecourse, Mornington Racecourse, and Sportsbet (Sandown).What will my responsibilities be? Maintaining control and leadership in the kitchen during service times in allocated sections for race days and non-race days functions.Prepare and cook menu as per cooking guidelines and set standards.Ensure all staff follow safety procedures.Maintaining cleanliness and organization in your section of the kitchen.Collaborate with the Executive Sous Chefs to develop menus and recipes.As an integral part of the team, you will work proactively to ensure guest satisfaction and the smooth running of the Retail kitchen department.Assist with monthly stock control and rotation.Qualifications and SkillsCurrent Food Handlers Certificate, strong knowledge of food safety regulations and kitchen best practices.Commercial cookery qualifications - Certificate II/IV.Previous experience as a Chef de Partie in stadiums or sports events is a plus.Able to work with high volumes and in a fast-paced environment.Flexible availability, preferable: Wednesdays to Saturdays.Ability to work at all three racecourses.Experience in Retail and Sports events.Excellent communication skillsMust be able to work as part of a team – team morale and culture is an essential part of our workplace environment.Staff benefitsFree lunch on race daysEmployee Assistance ProgramGreat Team EnvironmentCareer progression and development opportunities.Melbourne Racing Club values differences in gender, age, ethnicity, race, cultural background, disability, religion and sexual orientations and encourages all suitable applicants to apply for this role.  AUD Caulfield 3162
