As well as running elite horse racing at Caulfield, Ladbrokes Park (Sandown), and Mornington Racecourses, we own 14 pub venues under the Pegasus Leisure Group (PLG), an emerging collection of owned events such as The Peninsula Picnic and the MRC Foundation, our charitable arm.Reporting to the Executive Director – People & Culture, the Business Partner – People & Culture acts as an effective conduit between senior business leaders and the P&C team. As part of the senior leadership team, this role will utilise the P&C Action Planning process for their client group to drive strategic people performance and provide data on capability gaps and performance back to the wider P&C team. The Business Partner will also act as a coaching support for senior leaders across the business.The successful candidate will develop strong stakeholder relationships ensuring the business experience of key P&C processes is optimal.What will my responsibilities be?Ensure effective partnering relationships are developed and maintained across the senior leadership team.Communicating and rolling out an effective Engagement Survey strategy and process aligned to the organisational survey requirements.Facilitating survey feedback and action planning sessions for your client group, ensuring actions identified are followed up in the P&C Action Plans.Ensure an effective Performance Review & Development and succession planning process is developed and communicated.Continuously developing the D&I strategy, identifying new initiatives and seeking agreement on implementation via business case.Ensure change management processes are identified and effectively managed across the business.Developing business cases for proposed change for review by the CEO.Ensure effective P&C support of strategic projects.Qualifications/Experience RequiredExtensive experience as a P&C Business Partner or in equivalent roleConfidence in presenting to senior leaders, including business executivesTertiary qualifications in P&C or related fieldHighly developed verbal and written communication skillsHigh level of computer literacyDemonstrated highly developed stakeholder management capabilitiesHigh self-awareness and capacity to build trust and gain the confidence of othersAbility to think strategically, analyse problems and issues, respond creatively and translate/implement strategy into resultsAbility to positively influence, negotiate and resolve conflictWhat’s in it for you?Flexible working arrangements to support a work-life balance.Ongoing learning & development opportunities through the organisation-wide DRIVE Development program.Access to our year-round well-being initiatives including our Employee Assistance Program for staff and family.Racing Industry Member passes, discounts across our family of brands and free tickets to a wide range of events.Free onsite parking or a short walk from Caulfield Station.Paid Volunteer and Parental Leave.Monthly staff lunchesMelbourne Racing Club values differences in gender, age, ethnicity, race, cultural background, disability, religion, and sexual orientation and encourages all suitable applicants to apply for this role.
