We have an opportunity for a Full-Time Workforce Planning Coordinator to join our Workforce Planning team.
In this role, you’ll help manage the administration and rostering of our part-time and casual staff across Caulfield, Sportsbet Sandown, and Mornington racecourses. As part of the Workforce Planning team, you’ll play a key role in making sure we’ve got the right people in the right place at the right time. It’s a detail-focused role where you’ll work closely with other departments to forecast staffing needs, boost efficiency, and coordinate development of our key employees.

What will your responsibilities be?
- Monitor and respond to all staffing-related inquiries.
- Liaise with stakeholders to establish appropriate staffing needs and preferences for all MRC Race Day and Non-Race Day Events.
- Manage the roster of all staff across the three racecourses.
- Develop and maintain workforce planning ratios to predict staffing requirements across different functions and departments.
- Ensure compliance with labour laws, regulations, and company policies in all workforce planning activities.
- Generate reports and insights that inform decision-making and resource allocation.
- Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance workforce planning processes.
Skills & Experience
- Exceptional attention to detail with a passion for precision and accuracy.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify workforce challenges and develop innovative solutions.
- Experienced in evaluating employee skill sets and coordinating training and development initiatives to enhance workforce capabilities.
- Excels in pressurised environments and works well to deadlines.
- Excellent communication and numeracy skills – both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office.
- Flexibility to work some weekend race days and after hour events on a rotational roster.

- Experience with Humanforce WFM system (Desirable)
- Experience in a Hospitality environment (Desirable)
