Supplier & Category Coordinator

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Supplier & Category Coordinator to join our Procurement & Sustainability team on a permanent full-time basis, located at Caulfield Racecourse.  In this role, you'll help manage supplier relationships, execute data-driven category initiatives, and contribute to strategic procurement projects. You'll work closely with internal and external stakeholders, assist with contract management, and use data to help improve performance and find cost-saving opportunities. As well as running elite horse racing at Caulfield, Sportsbet Sandown and Mornington Racecourses, we own 15 pub venues under the Pegasus Leisure Group (PLG). What will your responsibilities be? Perform category-level spend analysis, pricing benchmarks and total-cost-of-ownership (TCO) assessments to surface aggregation and savings opportunities. Support RFQs/RFPs processes by preparing documents, reviewing bids, coordinating with vendors, and drafting recommendations.Draft, administer and control contracts, managing signature workflows and document versioning throughout the life-cycle. Track contract milestones, renewals and change requests, ensuring records are accurate within the contract-management system. Prepare reports and dashboards on supplier performance, costs, and compliance.Facilitate cross-functional workshops to gather requirements, share supplier-performance insights and engage stakeholders. Track savings and support reporting on procurement initiatives.Assist with supplier-risk assessments (sustainability scorecards, modern-slavery questionnaires) and provide general governance support to procurement projects.   Skills & ExperienceDegree or diploma in Procurement & Supply Chain, Business, Commerce, Law or related discipline. 3 years’ experience in contract administration, vendor management or procurement operations (hospitality, events or other regulated sectors preferred). Proven experience setting up or managing a central supplier database and tracking supplier performance using a structured framework.Working knowledge of the Australian Modern Slavery Act, Fair-Work procurement clauses and ISO-certified supplier environments (9001/14001/45001). Practical exposure to category analytics, spend analysis, and supplier-performance reporting (internships acceptable). Commercial & contract acumen. Interprets contractual levers and mitigates risk while maximising value. Analytical & data proficiency.
